Oral Surgery
What is Oral Surgery?
Oral surgery is specifically designed to enhance, restore and protect your smile. We offer many different surgical procedures that can be done on both adult and pediatric patients. We even offer sedation, which can make the surgical process a lot easier and more comfortable for you. Oral surgery is personalized to each of our patients for optimal dental care.
Why would Oral Surgery be needed?
You might need oral surgery before other procedures. For example, you may require one or more extractions before a denture can be made for you. You might require surgery to prevent future problems from happening, as is the case with impacted wisdom teeth. Other types of surgery can help to enhance your smile and construct teeth that are currently missing.
Who is a good candidate for Oral Surgery?
To determine if you're a good candidate for oral surgery, we will perform an exam, take x-rays and review your medical history. This allows us to determine if you're healthy enough to undergo the procedure that is needed. Surgery can be performed on young and older patients, and it is done on an as needed basis. We are here to help answer any questions that you might have regarding oral surgery.
What happens during the Oral Surgery process?
The surgery begins with a complete consultation. We then schedule you to come in for the procedure. We administer anesthetic or sedative of your choosing. The surgery is then performed and you'll be ready to leave the office. It is important that you have a friend or relative bring you home if you've undergone sedation. Oral surgery is quickly, comfortably and easily done in our office at your own convenience, and we are here to help with any post-operative complications. Some of the most common surgeries that we perform on a regular basis include:
- Extractions
- Dental implants
- Wisdom tooth removal
